Hilleberg Niak Tent Review - The ULTIMATE 3 Season Tent?

Is the Hilleberg Niak the ultimate 3 season tent? The Hilleberg Niak tent is a 2 person tent that is of the highest quality. It's a proper backpacking tent at 1.7kg all-in. The Niak has one door and one vestibule but the door can be opened both sides or altogether. The Hilleberg Niak is a yellow label tent which means it's their 3 season tent range. It uses a Kerlon 1000 fabric (basically a 20D Nylon Ripstop fabric) but retains the 9mm poles used on their red label 4 season tent range. Personally, I love the internal space the Niak provides. I love the ease of pitching too. However, I'm really disappointed with the vestibule, especially for a 2 person tent. At this price point, you expect perfection. The ventilation should be much better for a 3 season tent too, simply adding a mesh door doesn't allow air to flow in and out of the tent like end vents would. I did get a price to convert the door to a convertible solid mesh door. It was £125 to do sending the tent off to Scottish Mountain Gear.
