Hiking Bamford Edge and Stanage Edge in the Peak District

I took the better half to the Peak District national park to take on an 8 mile circular hiking route from Bamford walking up to Bamford Edge where you have spectacular views of Ladybower Reservoir and then up to Stanage Edge and back down to Bamford. This hiking trail starts on an extremely steep 35% incline out the back of Bamford. However, once you get to the top of this section the rest of the walk is reasonable easy, moderate at best. My top tip would be to take your time at the start of the hike out of Bamford. The 8 mile hiking trail took us just under 3 hours. This was an epic 23 mile route taking in all the edges apart from Bamford Edge (hence why I wanted to do this one!). I'd recommend the 9 Edges Challenge to anyone, it's fantastic.
