BioBedding Substrate
This BioBedding is the reason I felt comfortable skipping a drainage layer. I hand-mist, so my substrate doesn’t get absolutely soaked, and this has been working really well so far for both tropical enclosures.
Pros
- +Doesn’t require a drainage layer for hand-misting setups
- +Beginner-friendly for simple bioactive builds
Cons
- -You still have to monitor moisture and not over-mist
