I’m mentioning Bothongo Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve because it gave us a legit game drive experience right outside Johannesburg, and it was very family-friendly. The guides were incredible and we stayed in the vehicle the whole time, then wrapped it up with a solid restaurant setup and safe animal viewing areas.

- +Family-friendly facility with seating, playgrounds, and fenced areas
- +All-in-vehicle tour (no getting out)
Cons
- -Weather can be cold/windy in the morning depending on season
- -Some animals may look rough at times due to natural issues (e.g., ticks) being treated
