About This Video

2025 is almost here, and I’m seeing a bunch of new web design trends popping up—some futuristic and genuinely exciting, and some… honestly kind of ridiculous. In this video, I break down the biggest trends I keep seeing on award-winning sites and big brand pages, and I share which ones I think are actually worth bringing into your UI/UX work. The big theme: we’re moving away from cookie-cutter templates, rigid 12-column grids, and safe, boring typography. 2025 is shaping up to be a year where designers experiment hard. I start with immersive design—scroll-based storytelling, non-traditional layouts, custom cursors, subtle gradients/noise, and motion that makes you feel like the page is guiding you through a narrative. I love it, but it’s a double-edged sword: if you overdo it or execute it poorly, it can absolutely wreck UX. Then I get into big bold typography (the “in your face” kind), 3D animations (still going strong, especially for product storytelling), bold vibrant color systems (fun and friendly, but not always accessible), and hand-drawn/sketch elements that make interfaces feel more personal and relatable. If you’re asking what I’m most excited to try in my own projects: immersive design and 3D animations, easily.
