Hyundai have been very busy of late. After the success of the Ioniq 5 and the warm reception received by the Ioniq 6, they have now turned their attention to their small electric crossover, the Kona. We always liked the Kona, but it did have its flaws. The rear was a little cramped, some of the interior plastics feel short of class best, and whilst decent to drive, it lacked the refinement of others in its class, and also its cousin, the Kia eNiro. But now the Kona has grown up. Has it addressed its shortcomings? We will have to wait until we subject it to a full AutoEV road test to answer all the questions, but we can at least take a Sneak Peek at it first and start to get some idea if they can do it again.
