Back in the 1980's and 1990's, most C-sector hatchbacks had a saloon equivalent. The ford Escort for instance became the Orion when equipped with 4 doors and a boot. The Golf had the Jetta, the Astra the Belmont and even Rover's 200 became the 400 when so equipped. But as we have moved more towards crossovers and SUV's, is there still a place for the 4 door saloon in this space of the market?
