123dB Output from Lifestyle Speakers? JTR Kallos!

We flew out to Chicago to check out two JTR Kallos systems including a 7.1 configuration at Tony Negretti's place in Milwaukee and a 2.2 system @Scott-Kat. The lineup includes two on-wall/stand-mount models, the 265 and 465, plus a high-excursion (36mm Xmax) sealed 12" subwoofer powered by a beastly 2 kW amp. This compact sub is no joke—it borrows engineering from JTR’s iconic 18" driver and delivers serious, room-shaking performance in a smaller footprint. This system is capable of 123dB max SPL and can be run with modest amplification. Finished in beautiful Baltic birch, both Kallos 7.1 and 3.2 systems stunned us with full-scale, dynamic sound that completely defied expectations for its size.
