The Simgot Supermix 5 is a $220 quadrid IEM that swaps the Supermix 4’s PZT tweeter for a larger bone conduction driver plus an extra BA. In my testing it keeps the Simgot sparkle but dials it back into a more controlled, less fatiguing listen, with forward, clean mids and tasteful tactility in the bass.

Pros

  • +More refined bone conduction than many budget competitors (less frequent tonal weirdness)
  • +Forward, clean mids with good separation and natural vocal tonality
  • +Controlled treble energy that kept me from reaching for the volume knob
  • +Solid accessories: modular 3.5/4.4 cable and sturdy magnetic case
  • +Impedance changes are less drastic than Supermix 4

Cons

  • -Bone conduction can still buzz/spring when touching shells or coughing in quiet moments
  • -Bass and treble are a bit too subdued for bass heads or treble heads
  • -Stock cable is frustratingly stiff and holds kinks/memory
  • -Not a neutral-tuned set (still overall V-shaped)
