The Dunu 142 is a $240 tribrid that I’d describe as warm and vocal-forward with big, bombastic sub-bass and a controlled mid-bass that stays pretty articulate. It’s a great value largely because Dunu still gives you a top-tier accessory set and that excellent modular Q-Lock cable—just be aware of a little occasional treble zing on certain percussion-heavy tracks.
