The Kiwi Ears Orchestra II is a $350 all-BA set with 10 custom balanced armatures per side and a tuning that leans V-shaped with a vocal-forward edge. I like the satisfying sub-bass heft for an all-BA, the strong separation, and the sparkly treble—but that same upper-mid/treble energy can get spicy and flirt with shout on female vocals.

- -Modular plug housing is very long and pocket-unfriendly
