The Power 5 are Facebook’s official 5 core tactics that they say will get you the best return on your investment from your Facebook Ads. So, in this video I’m going to go through: What is The Power 5? And is this a good strategy or not? 🛠 Resources 🛠 - 📝 Free Masterclass on the 5 Steps to Predictable Appointments Each Month: http://www.salesappointmentsmasterclass.com - Facebook Power5: https://www.facebook.com/business/m/power-five - BIG Facebook Change - Why Less Ads are Better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wj6qK9-isN0 - Facebook Ads CBO Tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULAsgaVHP0o - 📊 My Recommended Best Funnel Building Software: https://www.skylinesocial.com/kartra #FacebookAds #Marketing #DigitalMarketing 1. Auto advanced matching Auto advanced matching allows Facebook to more accurately know when you’ve generated a lead by matching that persons contact information with their information on Facebook. You can very easily turn this on when setting up your pixel. So I highly recommend you turn it on to get more accurate reporting in your Facebook pixel settings. 2. Simplified account structure In the past, you would create lots of different campaigns and ad sets to see which combination gets the best cost per lead and the best return on investment. The NEW way of doing this is by creating LESS campaigns, less ad sets and less ads and instead let Facebook’s algorithm find the best audience. If you’d like to learn more about this, check out the video I recorded called ‘Big Facebook Ad Update for 2021: Why Less Ads are Better.’ I’ll include a link in the description. 3. Campaign budget optimization In the past, you would manually allocate budgets at the ad set level to figure out which ad set gets the best cost per lead. However, the new way of doing it is by setting the budget at the Campaign level using CBO (Campaign Budget Optimization). This allows Facebook to decide where to spend their budget. Now if you’ve tested CBO in the past and it hasn’t worked very well, I’d recommend testing it again. CBO is a LOT better than it used to be and now I pretty much use CBO as standard for all the Facebook campaigns I set up. Facebook does an excellent job at deciding how much budget to spend on each ad set to get you the best possible results. If you’re interested in learning more, see my tutorial on how to use ‘Facebook Ads CBO’. I’ll include a link in the description. 4. Automatic placements The 4th Power Play is to turn on automatic placements for your ads. This will on average enable you to lower your cost per lead by showing your ad to more people at the right time. In my tests, I’ve found leaving on automatic placements does get you better results vs turning it off. 5. Dynamic Ads Dynamic Ads is the last tactic from the Power 5 Facebook playbook that they recommend you do. They say that by turning on ‘Dynamic Ads’ you can ‘deliver the right product ad to the right person’. Now I think dynamic ads is great if you have an eCommerce store with multiple products. However, for the Facebook campaigns I run (for myself and clients), we are not selling a product in an eCommerce store, we are selling a service. Therefore, this is the only tactic in the Power 5 where in my own tests, I’ve got slightly better results with dynamic ads off. That’s not to say dynamic ads don’t work, but it’s not really needed if you’re just focusing on one product or service for potential clients. So those are the 5 tactics in Facebook’s official Power 5. Overall, I think all these tactics are GOOD and should be used as a best practice. But like all things in marketing, you can only know for sure how well it works by testing it for yourself.
