In this video I’m going to walk you through a very simple FB ads tutorial that you can use to run Facebook Ads with Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO) turned on. The best strategy to generate leads and appointments. 🛠 Resources 🛠 - 📝 Free Masterclass on the 5 Steps to Predictable Appointments Each Month: http://www.salesappointmentsmasterclass.com - NEW Facebook Ads Update - Why Less Ads is Better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wj6qK9-isN0 - 📊 My Recommended Best Funnel Building Software: https://www.skylinesocial.com/kartra - 💻 My Recommended Best LinkedIn Automation Tool: https://www.skylinesocial.com/meetalfred Chapters: 0:00 - Why CBO works better now 2:42 - CBO Off vs CBO on 7:00 - Step-by-Step CBO Strategy 12:03 - How to learn more Now I just wanna start off by saying if you have tested CBO in the past and it hasn’t worked really well yet… Don’t worry. It might not have been entirely your fault. In fact, I was testing CBO for a long time since it came out and I just couldn’t get it to work better than the ads I had running with CBO turned off. However, if you’ve experienced the same thing, I don’t think it’s entirely your fault because even though Facebook said they will be making CBO mandatory for EVERYONE… They didn’t actually do that. And I think it’s partly because having CBO turned on just didn’t as well as they would have liked for EVERYONE. But as time has gone on, they’ve been testing and refining the CBO feature and I kept testing it again every few months to see if it made a difference… And FINALLY in August last year I noticed a significant improvement with CBO on vs the ads I had with CBO off. And now I pretty much use CBO for ALL of my Facebook Ad campaigns. So if you haven’t tested CBO in a while then I recommend that you try it again because the results this time might surprise you. Now with that out of the way… Let me go through a simple strategy you can use to test CBO for yourself and structure it in a way to generate leads. Now I want to emphasize this is a strategy I use to generate leads, sales appointments and clients with CBO. I just want to clarify HOW CBO works behind the scenes very quickly… Just so you have a better understanding of why I structure the CBO campaign the way I do. So with CBO off you choose the daily budget of each had to sit inside your Facebook ads manually. So you could have 10 different ad sets for example and each of those could have a $20 a day budget. So that means each day you’re going to be spending $20 a day multiplied by 10 different ad sets which equals $200 a day And if you had CBO on inside of this campaign instead of you choosing each and set to have $20 a day budget you would choose the daily budget for all the ad sets together and then here’s the really cool part when it works well is simply let Facebook‘s algorithm to determine where to best spend your budget So your daily budget that you have stays exactly the same the only difference with the CBO on is that you let Facebook's algorithm choose where to spend the budget So with that out-of-the-way let’s go through step by step how to actually create a CBO campaign. STEP 1: When you’re creating a CBO campaign to generate leads for each campaign you want to focus on one ad angle. STEP 2: you want to test that one ad angle with 2 to 5 audiences and each audience would be inside a separate ad set. STEP 3: Inside of each audience you would have between 1 to 5 creative for the individual ads. Now remember the text on the ads are all going to be the same the only difference is the creative. And then once that’s all done to you now have one CBO campaign ready to go. STEP 4: You can create another CBO campaign in exactly the same way the only difference is that it would have a different ad angle. So different ad text that you can test. Now all of these different campaigns that you have running are to test which ad angles and which creative and which audiences work best After running the CBO campaigns on for about seven days you should very clearly see which of those are the best performing audience and ad combinations. And then what you can do which is really cool is create another CBO campaign for your most successful ads and in this CBO campaign you can keep testing higher budgets to scale everything up. Now if you already know which audiences, ad angles and creatives are going to work well because you’ve already done a lot of testing in the past you can just skip the testing with CBO and go ahead and create a CBO campaign with your most successful Facebook ads.
