Mandala Metal Casting - How To Make Your Own From Scrap Aluminum!

In this video I'll be showing you how you can make your own mandala metal casting at home. This whole process is fairly simple but there are a few tools will you need first. You can either purchase them or make them yourself. To get the started though, I searched through my daughters mandala coloring books until I found a moon and sun design that I liked. I imported the picture into blender and created a 3d model based on the design. I then 3d printed the model on my Elegoo Neptune 4 max. I quickly painted it to help remove some of the print lines and smooth it out. I then made a mold of the 3d print in sand and melted down some scrap aluminum. I poured the molten aluminum into the mold and once it was solidified, I removed the sprues and sanded down the edges. Then using just some double sided tape, I hung the design onto my wall to display as a beautiful art piece.
