In the 2023-2024 academic year, the student group MASS, based at London Metropolitan University, held a series of talks around the theme 'Anti-Apathetic Architecture'. The students asked the question "What if the architect was to move away from a position of apathy and instead diverge to practice fundamentally rooted in care; for the human, non-human and prosperity of our planet. What would an anti-apathetic architecture be like?" In this episode, Nate Kolbe discusses the work of the Uruguayan engineer, Eladio Dieste. ABOUT THE ARCHITECTURE FOUNDATION For over 30 years, the Architecture Foundation has brought together professionals from across the built environment to discuss and act on issues related to design and the built environment.
