The Moon Memory Palace Technique of Alexander Dicsone

The New Art of Memory would not be complete without covering the Moon Memory Palace Technique, developed by the ingenious Alexander Dicsone. Alexander Dicsone was a renowned memory expert and scholar during the Renaissance. He devoted himself to writing two books about memory techniques. These are gathered in English translation with the original Latin in The Hermetic Art of Memory. As Discone covers the standard mnemonic strategies, he also unraveled many of the mysteries of human consciousness. His groundbreaking technique involves using the Mansions of the Moon as a kind of Memory Palace. In doing this, Discone was inspired by the method of loci, but also aspects of astrology. Dicsone was also a student of Giordano Bruno, the brilliant philosopher, astronomer and master of memory. Many of Bruno's innovative ideas laid the foundation for the Moon Memory Palace Technique, influencing Dicsone's work and propelling it to new heights.
