Today's tutorial will demonstrate how to lighten or whiten your skin in photoshop adobe cc. Whitening the skin is a very popular beauty trend in some parts of Asia especially in Korea and Japan. Having said that all skin types are beautiful and you should be happy the color of your skin. This tutorial is purely for educational purposes. Duplicate your layer by dragging your image to new layer or simply just press cmd or ctrl + j once done change the blend mode to screen and reduce the opacity right-click the copied layer and convert it to smart object next click filter - Blur - Gaussian Blur and change the pixels to around 25 this helps with smoothing out the pores and making the skin look softer. Next step click the black & white adjustment layer and change the blend mode to screen reduce the opacity to around 60% and click your layer mask and select the color black start painting over everything except the skin once done duplicate your black & white adjustment layer and copy the layer mask onto the the layer copy and then delete the black & white adjustment copy layer. reduce the copy layers opacity to brighten or darken the skin.
