Fueled by attic 45s and a hatred for 80s gloss, they fused girl-group melodies with feedback-drenched chaos, recording raw demos that ignited Creation Records. From a riotous London debut to the anarchic Southern Studios sessions, their 1985 masterpiece sparked riots and a legacy that shaped shoegaze and indie rock.
