Supplies are from https://cozylark.com/ Of all the creatures at the Tennessee aquarium, I wouldn't have guessed that this trip would inspire me to paint butterflies, but here we are. I love when I get really into painting one thing because it feels like an endless well of creativity. Of course that feeling will fade, but it sure is nice while it lasts! I've painted at least six different butterflies this week, and I got this idea to do a sort of interactive version in my sketchbook. You could definitely simplify this process by not doing the cutout, but I do love the way it turned out!
