Creating Cohesive Double Page Sketchbook Spreads

Sometimes we go into a sketchbook spread with a lot of thought and a solid plan. And sometimes we're just trying to get that idea out of our head and onto the page. I often find that I will complete one page and have nothing on the opposite page, but that irks me because I don't like wasting pages, so I have come up with some strategies for filling in those opposite pages in a way that will create a cohesive spread.
