Phase 95 Phaser MXR
My modulation example pedal is the MXR Phase 95, and I used the Phase 90 mode because it’s more potent. I like modulation after dirt because it gets more defined and filter-sweepy, and it also keeps me from messing with the tracking on octave/envelope stuff.
Pros
- +Strong phaser character (especially in Phase 90 mode)
- +Sounds more defined when placed after dirt or other effects
Cons
- -Putting modulation before tracking pedals can cause glitchy tracking behavior
