It was recently my birthday, and you guys know I love treating myself to a new handbag every year—so in this video I’m finally unboxing my birthday bag from the Chanel Cruise 26 collection. Yes, it’s the dead of winter and I just had a winter storm, but I’m in a summer dress for the theme because this bag is truly a warm-weather dream. I unbox it straight from the boutique and share the whole backstory of how I went in hoping they still had it… thought it was gone… and then my SA checked the back and brought out the one. The bag is the Chanel classic flap in wicker with white lambskin trim in the large size. I talk through why I chose it (I kept thinking about it, and I know I’ll actually wear it), how it compares to my other raffia/wicker bags like my wicker Capucines and Lady Dior, and why I’m happy it’s a single flap (so much easier to get in and out of than the double flap). I also point out details like the feet on the bottom, the roomy interior, and how I plan to style it with my summer dresses and even my Oran sandals. I also chat about the butter-yellow bag I still want someday—pre-loved—because I’m not settling, I’m just being patient.
