About This Video

What up and good morning. In this short, I’m basically explaining why I don’t participate in political discussions on social media. It’s not because topics like immigration or abortion can’t be discussed—they can. The issue is a lot of people online aren’t mature enough to actually have a real conversation, and there’s this wild expectation that everybody should think exactly the same. From what I see, a big chunk of “debate” online isn’t about finding a resolve. People jump in just to argue, to unload anger they wouldn’t say face-to-face, or to victimize themselves so they can justify why their opinion is the only valid one. Dialogue is healthy, conversation is healthy, even debating is healthy—but only when people can accept reality: there’s always an opposite. You don’t know good without bad, or light without darkness. If the goal isn’t better ground, then it’s just wasted energy, and that’s why I keep my peace and don’t partake in the outrage cycle.
