Tesla announces European Gigafactory location

A German Gigafactory was something that my friend Gali accurately predicted last week when I had him on my channel to talk about Tesla. Today Elon shared why exactly he selected Berlin. Aside from what Elon said I had a chance to talk with a Berlin local Fahim and he pointed to the fact that Berlin has a very young population due to its handful of universities. More importantly, it appears the Technical University of Berlin could have been a huge driver for the location as it is one of the most recognizable German institutions for technology with programs in physics, energy engineering, environmental technology, electrical engineering, and computer science. The school is internationally ranked as one of the top 100 best schools in the world for engineering, technology, and computer science according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. TU also has an affiliation with the European Institute of Innovation, an independent body created by the Eurpean Union to foster technology and innovation across Europe. EIT has 8 Communities that focus innovation in climate, digital, food, health, energy, manufacturing, raw materials, and urban mobility. The raw materials headquarters is located in Berlin.
