Plex just announced that starting July 1st, 2026, the lifetime Plex Pass is jumping from $249.99 to $749.99… and the self-hosted community has a LOT to say about it. After running a poll myself, about two thirds of the responses said they were either already using Jellyfin… or planning to switch.
