Apparently Airmap, UA Sidekick and Kittyhawk are authorized by the FAA... I personally have used the Airmap and it does work pretty well. Good News! Good Flying! ============ NEW UPDATE 7/5/2019 ============ The FAA just announced the the LAANC authorization system will be available to recreational pilots beginning July 23rd, 2019! What does LAANC do? LAANC automates the application and approval process for airspace authorizations in controlled airspace. Through automated applications developed by an FAA Approved UAS Service Suppliers (USS) pilots apply for an airspace authorization. This happens nearly real time!
