I send a real voice note, build instant trust, and move them straight to a link, a pricing page, or a one-page contract. The reason voice notes work right now is simple: everyone’s using GPT to write robotic responses. Prospects can feel it, and I don’t trust a seller who’s already hiding behind AI in the sales process. A voice note signals you’re real. The rules: keep it under 45 seconds (re-record until it’s tight), record somewhere quiet so it’s actually listenable and transcribable, and use voice for nuance—not for stuff you could just type. And you don’t need a Zoom call for most deals under $100K. I’ve closed $5K to $36K deals purely through voice notes back and forth.
