I built a system that checks whether my leads are stale before I ever send a cold email—and if they are, it automatically replaces them with the right decision maker. Because the “green verified check mark” in your database doesn’t mean anything if the person left the company in 2019. People export a list, blast it, get bounces, and then decide cold email doesn’t work. That’s not just wrong, it’s dangerous—cold email is still the cheapest, most direct channel in B2B when you do it correctly. In this video I walk through the exact workflow: scrape a list from Apollo, export into Google Sheets, then use n8n to loop through each lead and check their LinkedIn. I flatten the LinkedIn data and use GPT to determine if they still work there. If they don’t, I use serp.dev to Google-search the company + role on LinkedIn, have GPT pick the correct replacement, and then use Ampify to turn that LinkedIn profile into an email. Finally, I merge everything back together and write the updated contacts into the sheet—so my lead list stays “alive” and my outreach actually hits real decision makers.
