“hi everyone it's Kim from affordably crafty and today I have an unboxing of a brand new company that I want to share with you while brand new to me the Miller girls now they specialize in rare unique and hard to find fibers and yarn so I've been waiting for this to come out they do a release once a month generally on their website okay if you're new here welcome my channel is all about teaching you how to stretch your craft dollar and be affordably crafty as I hit myself in the head please uh join my Facebook group where I post about all my deals Steals and freebies I find in my travels in the crafting world and follow me on Instagram um also give me a thumbs up and hit that subscribe button so the Miller girls I found out about them through their Facebook group and I will link all these things down below I may need some scissors which I don't know if I have over here let's look I do yay yarn ball scissors to the rescue um so I learned about the sale through their Facebook group which came in my feed for some reason I don't remember what the reason was I do not remember um but they have like a release monthly I tried to order from them in July but I didn't hop on the thing fast enough and the stuff I was interested in getting was a sold out now they're also doing a studio clean out because I believe they're moving um so I just may be that in August they had more stock than they normally do because of the studio clean out but they said they were going to continue doing that um next month I believe what is going on here now did they put a they put a thing in here or not interesting I'm looking to see if they have a nope no invoice okay so what I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna you know what I'm gonna go check my invoice write them down and I'll be right back okay went back into my invoice and wrote down all the prices so that'll be better than me having to go and insert later okay so like I said this place the Miller girls specializes in unusual unique uh rare hard to find fibers and the main reason I was interested in them is they had a lot of vegan fibers that I had not heard of or tried before now some of what I got is just the fiber not spun yet but I wanted to feel it and I'm also thinking of maybe playing with my drop spindle with some of it just to try because they really were not expensive the prices here I feel are reasonable um now I know some of the yards is going to be small but that's okay because I just wanted to try it um all right so let's see what we got so they have an interesting packaging which I've never seen before it comes in a bag with strings like a plastic bag have you ever seen this kind of packaging before okay and it has a card in here so this is what their card looks like it says the Miller girls facebook”

“com the Miller girls and I will link their information down below so this is a hundred percent seaweed this is yarn made from seaweed which ooh I don't know if it's my mind putting the smell of the sea into this but that's interesting I believe this was a DK if I remember correctly I will insert here specs if I can find them um I think I took screenshots when I ordered but I'm not 100 certain so this to me this seaweed kind of feels in the same vein of maybe like a cotton linen blend as far as the feel and this is sustainably made with like seaweed I'll be doing um reviews on these Yarns all together in one video um coming up here but yeah and it's applied it's like a natural color so I'm assuming this is something that you could die if you wanted to I don't think I would but yeah the cakes are small and I knew that going in and this one the seaweed was eight dollars but you know what I really wanted to just try some of these out so there's the first one not I don't really feel great about these bags but I guess I can reuse them in my defense next one the next one is Rose fiber so this I felt like was one of the most intriguing ones it's fiber made it's it's made from like the stems of roses smells fine so this is a one weight yarn or maybe a lace weight it's very very very fine this is softer than the seaweed although I wouldn't call it like extra soft this was six dollars and for me this would be kind of special to do like a like maybe for some people you love you can make little um like little stuffed hearts or maybe you can make like pendants and earrings made out of hearts or something like that just was kind of very interesting to me intriguing and again it's a natural color so you could dye it I don't know why I keep wanting to smell this like I know it's not going to smell like roses but isn't that pretty cool made from roses and I'll be doing a review on the Yarns all together in one video did I say how much that was that was six dollars aloe vera oh the aloe vera was five now I know this was really really tiny I knew that going in but it's got a beautiful Sheen to it and it's a stark white I don't know if it was bleached but it's got a really really nice Sheen to it kind of similar to like a bamboo oh that's soft that's pretty soft this to me looks like maybe possibly a one that's probably a one weight it is very soft and the sheen on it is crazy this is which one is this the aloe vera five dollars again it's just to try it and see how I like it so I'm fine with these tiny cakes because where the heck you're gonna find aloe vera yarn the only other place that may have some of these is veganyarns”

“hmm I really thought this one was going to smell like mint but it doesn't nope I'm confused 100 mint this is not as soft as the lotus but still feels soft mint even though some of these things existed now there was other fibers I was interested in grabbing but they were sold out before I could get to them okay and then I just did this on a whim so this is the only non-vegan one I got it is hold on a second this one's really tied up this was four dollars yeah oh my God all day long that is so oh my oh my so this is a hundred percent camel that's been de-haired it's called Baby cloud that is so soft oh my God that is like butter and this was four bucks like freaking all day oh my God I'm gonna like I love that just sit here all day with this does anybody use any of these fibers before let me know in the comments down below I will link their store and their Facebook group online they often post previews in their Facebook group of what they have coming up for sale they also did have dyed Hanks during the sale and some other stuff they're doing a studio clean out so I'm sure there was more variety than normal but I'm gonna have to email them because I didn't get my banana yarn and I'm irritated because that was this the most expensive thing I got it was 10 bucks so I'll have a report back an update on the customer service to let you guys know how that went so yeah that's the Miller girls the shipping was I believe 14 which I thought was a bit High considering how not heavy this was but I think they're in Wisconsin but whatever so I think before it was like in the almost 50 bucks but I was waiting for this so I did put aside some money to do this order um but yeah uh very interesting I can't wait to start using some of this yarn and try spinning with my drop spindle which is right over there um let me know any good beginner drop spindle videos you guys think I should walk watch um if you've seen any of these fibers before and Spinners feel free to roast me in the comments about how silly I am okay um yeah please like share and subscribe so your friends can learn to be affordably crafty too and have a creative day everyone bye bye”
