In this video we are going to look at the fully functional and free Fusion 360 finger joint box script that I wrote in Python. I will demonstrate the script and show a box that was made on my MPCNC cnc router. I also use the freely available "dogbone" add-in (link below) to create the relief in the corners of the finger joints ***NOTE: I have significantly upgraded this script so that it now does closed and OPEN boxes take a look at this video to see new version: https://youtu.be/o-_Bd0dXuBs - The link is good but you will want to download the new version. If you are interested in seeing how to create the toolpaths and the Gcode then leave me a message below and I will create that video next. If you have suggestions for enhancements leave a comment and I will consider them or go to the git and submit a pull request with your improvements. **NOTE my script uses NOW uses millimeters (mm) as the units. If you want to create the box in any other units you will have to convert them to mm first. 10mm = 1cm 1in = 25.4mm :-) Links: Finger joint script: https://bitbucket.org/ianj001/finger-joint-box-in-fusion-360/src/master/CreateFingerJointBox2/ Part 1 of the finger joint box script development: https://youtu.be/Cou1iQKW9Cc Fusion Dogbone Add-in: https://github.com/tapnair/Dogbone/archive/master.zip Octoprint: https://octoprint.org/ Cura: https://ultimaker.com/software/ultimaker-cura Fusion 360: https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/ Raspberry Pi: https://www.raspberrypi.org/ Blender: https://www.blender.org/ Inkscape: https://www.inkscape.org OBS: https://obsproject.com/ Python: https://www.python.org/ Songs: Raw Space by Spazz Cardigan (intro)
