The Cutting Set is sweet because it’s so packable and can be used for a multitude of things. The full-tang, 15 cm long blade will be the only knife you reach for whether you’re cutting up fruit, veggies, or slicing that steak after it’s been grilled to perfection. The included Oak board is sturdy and robust and oak has a natural self-disinfectant effect so you can have a little bit of extra assurance after you clean it (we all know how well dishwashing goes when you’re camping). The cover that holds the Cutting Set together doubles as a clean prep surface. I love this because honestly when you’re camping finding that clean prep surface is really hard and I’m usually tight on space. For making that ultimate fruit plate, it’s so nice to pile all the skins, peels, and seeds somewhere where I can easily transfer to the trash and then clean off quickly. The set stays together nicely and there’s even a magnet that holds the knife in place. This set is so easy to pack whether you’re tenting it, in a van, or in an overland rig. The Campfire Tongs are a lightweight tong that can be used for grilling, be it on a grill or an open fire. The tongs are a perfect size and weighing in at 4.7 ounces can be packed no matter what adventure you’re heading out on. I do wish there was a little bit of texture or perforation on the tips of the tongs as I feel it would add a touch of grip.
