Are we going to get a precipate when we mix two solutions? It's a useful thing to know. Prof Al, AUT's chemistry media star, talks us through the calculations. The worked problem. If 50.0 mL of 0.0100 mol L⁻¹ Pb(NO₃)₂ is mixed with 50.0 mL of 0.0100 mol L⁻¹ KBr, would a precipitate of PbBr₂ be formed? Ksp(PbBr₂) = 2.1 × 10⁻⁶.
