This session features graphic artist Seth Tobocman in conversation with artists from around the world who contributed to the latest issue of World War 3 Illustrated. The issue highlights work by Palestinian comic artists and international contributors in solidarity with Palestine. Panelists include: Mohammad Sabaaneh (Palestine), Hamza Abu Ayyash (Palestine), Magdy El Shafee (Egypt), R.M. Sanches Camus (UK), Larimar Lora (Nuyorican), Seth Tobocman (US), Annabelle Heckler (US), and Voloymyr Bylik. Together, they discuss the situation in Gaza and the Occupied Territories and reflect on what it means to be an artist in this context of struggle and resistance. The NYC Anarchist Book Fair has gathered thousands of anarchists, supporters, and curious folks since 2007 on Lenape land, creating space to learn about anarchist traditions, philosophy, praxis, and anti-capitalist struggle. This series is brought to you in collaboration with Floresta TV and A Radical Guide: Floresta TV emerged from a call by Indigenous Peoples to record, share, and expand sustainable, collective, and peaceful culture in today’s digital world. A Radical Guide connects, amplifies, and unites liberation movements — preserving histories, amplifying present struggles, and fostering collective action.
