Remembering the AMIA Bombing: A 31-Year Struggle for Justice

On July 18, 1994, an explosives-laden van driven by a Hezbollah terrorist linked to the Iranian regime plowed into the Argentine Israeli Mutual Association (AMIA) building, killing 85 people and wounding more than 300. It was a devastating blow to the institutional heart of Latin America's largest Jewish community, and it remains the deadliest antisemitic attack outside Israel since the Holocaust. For decades, American Jewish Committee (AJC) has refused to let the world to forget the deadly attack, sounding the alarm on the Iranian regime's support of terror and advocating for the victims and their families to finally get the justice they deserve.
