Sharon Bergman, AJC Executive Council, welcomes 2,000 advocates from more than 70 countries to AJC Global Forum 2026 at a defining moment for the Jewish people and the State of Israel. Reflecting on American Jewish Committee’s founding 120 years ago in response to rising antisemitism and persecution, Bergman traces the organization’s enduring legacy of diplomacy, advocacy, and trusted partnerships — and calls on a new generation to carry that mission forward. The opening session also honors Past AJC National Presidents and generations of leaders whose vision and commitment helped shape AJC into a global force for Jewish advocacy and democratic values. “At a time of surging global antisemitism, I can’t think of a more powerful act than this — to come together, proud, united, and with a shared sense of urgency.”
