At AJC Global Forum 2026, the AJC Sharon Greene Award for Campus Advocacy was presented to Jake Rymer, Class of 2027 at the University of Chicago, representing Maroons for Israel. Created in memory of Sharon Greene—a social worker, mother, and passionate advocate for Jewish life—the award honors student leaders who embody courage, resilience, and Jewish pride in the face of rising antisemitism on college campuses. Presented by Dr. Alison Greene, Dana Greene, and Joshua Greene—children of Sharon Greene—Jake was recognized for his leadership and commitment to supporting Jewish students and advocating for Israel on campus. As hostility toward Jewish students continues to rise worldwide, Jake’s example reflects the strength, conviction, and determination of a new generation of Jewish leaders.
