I tested the Nova Ring R because, at around $179 with no subscription, it’s one of the most compelling smart ring values I’ve seen. In my experience, the tracking was very much in line with my UltraHuman Ring Air, and the charging dock is easily the best-looking one I’ve used so far.

Cons
- -Battery life is shorter than UltraHuman in my testing (about 4–5 days)
- -Metal ring can feel annoying during weight training
- -Blood oxygen readings are often manual unless enabled during sleep (battery hit)
