AMD FX-8350 Wraith Cooler Sleeper / Editing PC Upgrade

Today I finally had the time to throw the AMD FX-8350 that I bought a few weeks ago into my sleeper / editing PC. It was a easy and straightforward upgrade that yielded a significant performance increasing. With the 8350 my editing workflow is much more fluid and videos render around 30% faster. The Passmark and Cinebench scores also confirmed that the new processor definitely made a difference. Despite being a stock heatsink, the wraith cooler allowed me to overclock the 8350 to a stable 4.2Ghz. Temperatures were a bit high while running prime 95 at this speed but P95 is a worse case scenario and the CPU does not get nearly as toasty while rendering and editing video.
