Jennifer Lawrence takes the 92NY stage for an evening of conversation and clips centered on Die My Love, the new film from director Lynne Ramsay. Since its premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, the film has drawn intense critical attention, with Lawrence’s performance praised as “bracingly raw” (Associated Press) “career-defining” (The New York Times) and “the kind of performance you go to the movies for” (TIME). It is a portrayal that captures a woman under pressure with searing intimacy and emotional clarity. Lawrence first emerged as a major screen presence with Winter’s Bone and went on to win the Academy Award for Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook. Her work moves between large-scale cultural phenomena, including The Hunger Games films, and character-driven projects such as American Hustle, Joy, and Don’t Look Up. In recent years, she has also taken on an expanded role behind the camera, helping to shape projects from their earliest stages. Woven throughout the conversation, selected clips from Die My Love will open a discussion of adapting Ariana Harwicz’s novel, collaborating with Ramsay and exploring themes of love, motherhood, and psychological unraveling. Lawrence will also reflect on her work with her award-winning production company, Excellent Cadaver, and her interest in stories that ask difficult questions and linger long after the credits roll. An evening of insight and reflection with one of contemporary cinema’s most compelling voices, in conversation at a pivotal moment in her work. This talk was recorded on January 7th, 2026 at The 92nd Street Y, New York. Your support helps us continue creating online content for our community.
